The Village's finances are maintained by the Village Treasurer, Robert J. Fels, (914) 337-6500 in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).  Accounting records are structured in accordance with the Uniform System of Accounts as mandated by the State Comptroller's Office.

Tax Collection

Bronxville collects both Village and School taxes.  The Village tax rate is adopted by the Board of Trustees when the budget is approved usually sometime in April.  The School tax rate is set by the School's Board of Trustees and is calculated from the school's budget adopted after voter approval, usually in May.

bullet Payment at Village Hall
bullet You may walk in and pay your bill at Village Hall, 200 Pondfield Road, Bronxville. Office hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except for holiday closings.
bullet Payment by Mail
bullet All payments must be postmarked on or before the due dates as indicated on the bill to avoid penalty.

bullet Penalties
bullet A 5% penalty will be assessed on all taxes unpaid as of the due date and an additional 1% will be assessed each month thereafter.
bullet Tax Lien Sale
bullet The Village conducts a tax lien sale every March as required per New York State Real Property Tax Law.  Taxes not satisfied by the date of the lien sale will be sold at public auction and then thereafter subject to foreclosure procedures as per New York State Real Property Tax Law.
