Tree-lined streets filled with flowers and old-fashioned lamp posts make this English-style village a most pleasant place to shop. Bronxville's business district has well served its residents and attracted shoppers and diners from surrounding communities since its beginnings in the 1920s.

The center is balanced between the railroad station at one end and the Four Corners - a cluster of civic buildings - at the other. In between is a vibrant commercial district easily traversed by foot.

Teeming with more than one hundred businesses, services, professional offices, restaurants and a triplex movie theater, Bronxville's central business district has been developed with a particular emphasis on local retailers. It is especially known for its designer clothing boutiques, antique and gift shops, art galleries, specialty food stores and small independent book stores.
The Chamber of Commerce (www.bronxvillechamber.com) devotes its efforts to the increased prosperity of these village businesses and has a full calendar of activities to enhance the business environment and enrich the entire community.
